Week 6 of Practicum !!

 DAY 28 (Monday, 14th October 2024)

As for Day 28, it was the start of Week 6 and we had our official school assembly as usual. That week was my very first time sitting on the stage together with other teachers. I felt like my point of view had changed because when I was a student, I used to sit on the ground like the other students but now I am the one sitting on a chair on stage haha! Then, after the assembly wraps up I had my classes as usual and also got a relief class at 2 Ungku Aziz. For me, Year 2 is quite challenging to handle and I am so glad that I got Year 4 classes to teach at this school. In the afternoon, we had a short meeting but I didn’t take any pictures because we went home immediately after that. That’s all from me for today!

DAY 29 (Tuesday, 15th October 2024)

As for Day 29, nothing much happened that day, so I didn’t take many photos. I had my class as usual with 4 Ungku Aziz and I completed the English workbook with them. We had a lot of fun discussing the answers because they are so smart and really active in class when I ask them questions. If you ask me which Year 4 class is my favorite, it’s 4 Ungku Aziz all the way. There’s also an orange cat at my school. She’s so clingy and cute. I really love petting her because her fur is so soft and smooth. She also has a few kittens, but I will share pictures of them later. That’s all for today!

DAY 30 (Wednesday, 16th October 2024)

As for Day 30, I started my day at school with a beautiful sunrise view. Then, I had my breakfast of Fried Macaroni with Minced Beef, Fried Noodles, Fried Chicken Nuggets, and Fried Keropok Lekor, which were brought by Kak Fary and Kak Syu. Both of them really love sharing food with us in the teachers' room. I feel so blessed to have such generous colleagues. Then, I started my class with 4 Hamka. Surprisingly, we finished almost 5 pages of their English workbook that day and after they went out for recess, I took the chance to check and mark all their work. Most of them completed the work, with only a small number of pupils leaving a few pages unfinished. Overall, 4 Hamka is a good class with intelligent kids! At noon, we had our co-curriculum session as usual and it was the turn for clubs and associations. I’m in charge of the Rakan Media Club, so we taught the kids how to use Canva and create their own posters using the school’s laptops. After finishing the co-curriculum session, we went back home as usual. Oh yes, that’s the picture of the orange cat with her kittens that I mentioned yesterday haha!

DAY 31 (Thursday, 17th October 2024)

As for Day 31, it was such a hectic day because early in the morning, our friend's car wouldn’t start and we were already late for school. Luckily, my housemate volunteered to send us to school using his car. At school, Farhan, Lili, and I were busy sorting out the rewards for the English Week competition. There were a lot of gifts and we had to organize them based on class and year. After the school session ended, we went back home with our PK HEM. She’s so kind to us, and I’m so glad to have an administrator like her. Farhan’s car was also back in good condition after we jump-started the battery with the help of our friend’s car. Life is kind of challenging, but just face it peacefully. That’s all for today!

DAY 32 (Friday, 18th October 2024)

As for Day 32, we continued sorting out the gifts and making number cards for the English Week competition prizes. The gift-giving ceremony will be held next Monday, so we have to finish everything by Friday to rest over the weekend. I also took the chance to take selfies because I was wearing a Baju Melayu that day and I felt good wearing it on a Friday. That’s all for my Week 6 and see you next week!
