Week 11 of Practicum !!

 DAY 52 (Monday, 18th November 2024)



As for Day 52, I started my day at school with the opening ceremony of PPKI Week during the school assembly. The gimmick was amazing, as they used LEGO props on the stage. All the kids were so excited to watch the ceremony. Later, I had a class with 4 Hamka, which was also my second observation with my mentor, Teacher Dini. The students were thrilled to participate in various activities during the lesson. I rewarded them when they answered the worksheets correctly, and they seemed really happy about it. That’s all for my first day of the week!



DAY 53 (Tuesday, 19th November 2024)



As for Day 53, there was an aerobic activity organised by the PPKI teachers. All the students from Year 1 to Year 5 participated in the activity, while the Year 6 students stayed in the school hall for a separate program. After 9am, everything returned to normal, and I had a few classes to teach as well. We went back home at 2pm and bought some doughnuts for lunch. That’s it for the day!



DAY 54 (Wednesday, 20th November 2024)




As for Day 54, I had my observation with my supervisor, Madam Dalila. I chose 4 Hamka for the observation because most of the students are smart and well-behaved, making it easier for me to manage the class. The lesson started at 9am and ended at 10am. Everything went very smoothly and Madam Dalila was satisfied with my teaching. I felt so happy and relieved! For the activity, I organised a group task where the students had to pop balloons. Each group that participated earned rewards from me, which made them even more excited. And that wraps up my day!



DAY 55 (Thursday, 21st November 2024)




As for Day 55, the long-awaited Entrepreneurship Day finally arrived! I started my morning with a class before heading down to help sell coupons and desserts with the other practicum teachers. There were so many exciting games for the kids to enjoy and one of the highlights was Soopadoopa. The open hall was packed with a big crowd and all the kids lined up eagerly to buy food and snacks. Everything wrapped up by noon, and we officially ended the event at 12pm.




DAY 56 (Friday, 22nd November 2024)



As for Day 56, we started the day stuck in heavy traffic on the way to school due to a graduation day at PULAPOL. It took us almost an hour to reach school and we arrived at 7.30am. Before entering my class, I had breakfast, a delicious Nasi Lemak with Fried Chicken given to me by our PK Pentadbiran, Puan Azizah. At noon, before heading home, I took a picture of the kitten at my school. Unfortunately, on our way back, we got into a minor accident. Thankfully, it wasn’t serious, just a small dent and it was my fault as well. And that wraps up my hectic Week 11!

Week 2 of Practicum !!

 DAY 6 - DAY 10  (Monday, 16th September 2024 - Friday, 20th September 2024) During my second week as a practical teacher, the entire week coincided with the school holidays. My family and I took the opportunity to visit Kuantan, Pahang for a delightful vacation. It was an incredibly enjoyable week, and now I’m looking forward to return to school and reunite with my lovely students.

Week 3 of Practicum !!

 DAY 11 (Monday, 23rd September 2024) As for Day 11, after a week of school holiday and now the 3rd week of my practicum has finally begun. The week kicked off with a ceremony to launch the Healthy Food Campaign. A stunning poster banner, designed by my friend Lili, was the centrepiece, and I had the chance to assist her in setting it up for the event.The highlight of the ceremony was the appearance of a Mickey Mouse mascot, which had me feeling incredibly excited. I couldn’t miss the opportunity to snap a photo with the mascot, joined by my friend Lili and my colleague Kak Farah. It was truly a memorable day and a unique experience for me as a practical teacher.
